About Dr. Tilis
Semyon Tilis, DDS, specializes in general dentistry, dental implantology, and periodontics. He serves the Bay Ridge community of Brooklyn, New York, at DNTL.
A friendly, attentive dentist who’s passionate about dental medicine, Dr. Tilis uses his specialized training and extensive knowledge to provide exceptional dental care. Patients of all ages trust him for preventive care, fillings, crowns, dental implants, and cosmetic dentistry.
After earning his dental surgery doctorate from New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry, Dr. Tilis completed a residency as well as a fellowship in oral implantology at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center in Brooklyn, New York. During his time at NYU, Dr. Tilis completed the periodontal honors program; he also received the International Congress of Oral Implantologists’ Pre-doctoral Student Achievement Award.
Devoted to expanding his knowledge through continuing education, Dr. Tilis is certified in implantology by the McGann Postgraduate School of Dentistry. He is currently enrolled in a Master of Science program in Implantology and Dental Surgery, as well as an advanced training program in sleep apnea and temporomandibular disorders.
Dr. Tilis is committed to providing high-quality dental care to underserved populations. He participates in outreach programs with such organizations as the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Compassion Outreach Ministries International, Pediatric Dental Van “Smiling Faces, Going Places,” and the Initial Clinic Experience Pediatric Outreach, among others.
Dr. Tilis is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
